If you put something out there even if the name used is not associated with you and it is about someone they may be able to figure out who wrote it if they know your writing style. That is why so many people had locked diaries. You can write and let out your feelings without every saying you are sorry. I would either get a locking diary or the electronic equivalent for your computer.

It does depend on your video card. I was able to get Sims 2 to work on Vista but I had to mull through the video card options. Mine gives the option to change the setting automatically if trying to run Sims 2. Since every video card is different I wont be able to give you details on how to fix your particular situation. But it is possible to run Sims 2 on Vista.

I have Windows Vista and mine works just fine. But its not a labtop. I got the Sims2 Deluxe version and it works GREAT. Nothing at all has happend in the last month.

The Sims 2 works fine on Vista…but you must make sure your machine meets certain requirements. This is straight from the EA Games Sims 2/Vista FAQ:

Q: Is The Sims 2 compatible with Windows Vista?
A: Yes The Sims 2 and its expansion packs run well on Windows Vista. If there is a problem its mostly likely due to the Vista support of your graphics card. See more details below.

Q: Will my computer be capable of running The Sims 2 on Windows Vista?
A: The required hardware for The Sims 2 on Vista is a 1.3GHz processor with 512MB of memory. The extra memory is needed is because 512MB is required for a Windows Vista Capable machine. Since Vista does use up more processor power game performance will not be as good as on an equivalent XP machine.

Q: Ok Ive got that. What about my graphics card?
A: This is where it gets tricky. Because of new graphical features Vista requires a DirectX9 capable graphics card. Heres a rough guide of graphics card capability:

These are early DirectX 9 cards and budget cards that may not support all The Sims 2 graphical features.
