You have made some mistakes in the past. And so have i My dad grew up with animals like you did and the neighbors used to think he had this power to talk to them because they loved him more than anyone.

I made mistakes when i was younger.. but my dad said maybe i should try again. So we got a little puppy few days ago. I love her to death and what is really special is that i can grow up with her

If you are planing to have children i would really think it would be good if you got them a little puppy not more that 8 weeks old. So they can grow up with it and then they can be toghether until they are older. It very special trust me .

I think you have mutured much more since you were twenty you have realized what you have done and you know what happend and you forgave your self. Its never to late to go back to what was once there…

Try doing some animal fostering first to see how it goes. Many shelters are looking for temporary homes for pets to help socialize kittens and pups or to desensitize animals that have been abused. Sometimes to care for animals that have been injured while they heal and recover. Of course you have to give them back when your time is up and that is hard if you get attached but it is also good if you find its all still too much for you. Good luck.

You sound more humble and respectful now and you recognize there are limits to your powers to help and reasons why such organizational entities exist in the first place. It takes a village to raise a child. It take a planet to raise the animals. You have learned a lot about the value and complexities of human life and your own limits and how much you didnt realize and what harm our ignorances can do in the world. Keep learning about your limits and how to overcome them as you are ready. I dont think you should just get a pet. I think you should think about becoming a veterinarian. Its a massive education about life. Many animals would be wellserved by someone thats so passionate about their wellbeing and so willing to take accountability for themselves and answer for their actions and keep learning their lessons about the value of life. But start small and take careful manageable sloowwwwww risks. And use the power of your honesty to educate and inform others. The truth will set you free.
