I can understand that not being a regular coffee drinker you are not used to strong coffee. The best thing is to ask for a mild coffee these coffee beans are mild due to their type and duration of roasting. Another option is to take a decaf coffee this way you dont feel the effects of caffeine. Also as you already mentioned you can drink latte or cappuccino as milk also reduces the bitterness. And the of course and sugar this also reduces the bitter taste that coffee.

Weakest:
Frappaccino more like a coffee ice cream type of flavor very sweet
Mocha espresso and steamed milk with chocolate can also be served over ice
Latte espresso and steamed milk. often people choose to add flavoring which will usually make it sweeter. you can also add sugar. a mocha is essentially a chocolate latte
cappuccino espresso with steamed milk topped with frothed milk. similar to a latte but it has a large dollop of frothed milk on top. you can add sugar or flavoring to these as well. dont confuse REAL cappuccino with the kind you get out of vending machines. those are very sweet and dont taste much like coffee at all
espresso very very strong coffee flavor pretty bitter and not too many people in the US drink it straight…in Europe it is very popular however.

I would recommend you start with frappacinos or if you want something hot a latte. Try it with caramel or vanilla flavoring and maybe some whipped cream. You can always ask them to go light on the espresso for ex. only use 1 shot instead of 2 in grande drinks. Before I drank real coffee I really liked caramel macchiattos from starbucks.

If you want real coffee try a lighter roast…something like a breakfast blend. Add some sugar and either milk or cream…or try the International Delights or Coffeemate flavored creamers. They are so good

Stick to Koolaid and leave the coffee to the adults that already have that bad habit.
