Auto Insurance Question?
Apr
20
2010
Recently my auto policy with American Family was canceled. My credit union bought a policy and charged it for me so my car will be covered. Today I got into an accident and rearended a guy. I called the insurance company that the credit union bought the policy from and they said it only covers my car and the credit union and nothing else.
The problem is that the guy asked for my insurance companys number and I didnt tell him they wouldnt cover for it.
What should I do? Will I end up having to pay for this out of pocket or will his insurance company pay for his car? Its just a ding in his tailgate.
Anyone have any advice for me on this?
