I started noticing that people wear rings on their middle fingers. Is this a fashion or does it have some sort of meaning?

For me I dont really like wearing rings they bother me but if I wear one I put it on my middle finger it just feels best that way probably my OCD coming out and it makes me feel even.

I just like the way certain rings look on my middle finger better than any other finger. So I think its like a fashion thing. I dont think it has any meaning or anything.

I like wearing my signet ring on my left middle finger because it seems to look balanced on my hand. It seems too big and asymmetric when I wear it in my left ring finger.
Wearing a ring at the middle finger also tends to protect my signet ring from being hit on things because it is in the middle of my hand, protected and balanced.
